The movie bombed overseas and it did similar numbers domestically to Man of Steel without adjusting for inflation. Save for Mantis it's all the same thing. He writes women as men and the capitulate romance and love and sex out of, like, duty than any real understanding that Gunn can muster. I've seen enough of the man's movies to get a sense of how he writes and I am left wanting. This as the first step to a new DCCU isn't great but I feel like it'll fare way better than Fantastic Four.
