She was in the right place at the right time. Brie Larson was just crying to the world about feminism and no man on the planet cares about that. Se had a disastrous PR and was striking out left and right. Meanwhile Gal was cosplaying as Wonder Woman and hugging little convention-going boys who were dressed as Superman. She won the war of PR. Wonder Woman was incredibly mid to underwhelming as a superhero film. It was just the first Captain America film + more highlights on romance. The second tried to return to the romance because the director is a woman and woman aren't into action and they don't know how to tap into what draws men to superheroes to begin with. So of course Gal took that script and it sucked. Gal without the benefit of good PR isn't ideal. Rachel Zegler sank Snow White all on her own but you could forget Gal is even in the movie because all she did was take a step back, smile, and keep her mouth shut. People like Gal when she does that. She should do it more often. She can't act. She's like an ornament.
