Harland is the kind of guy that's Sam's exact kryptonite: completely unfazed by Sam's little edge comments and completely unintimidated by Sam's physical size, as well as never giving Sam a serious answer on anything. No Luna, both Sam and Harland were just being themselves and it all backfired on Sam because he was completely in the wrong being himself (a self absorbed, insecure and paranoid cult leader).
