That and the fact that it's worked for a FEW celebrities. The ones who have good people and don't overdo it and seem to somehow "age gracefully" with plastic surgery are the cause. The other surgeons just promise shit and do what they can and the people left with the weird faces just live in denial. Everyone they surround themselves with tells them how great it looks; they're kind of paid to.
And they look in the mirror and see what they want to see. They probably think it looks better than wrinkles would. But they just don't look like themselves. I'd rather just not see Helen Hunt as much than see her pump her face full of shit to get on some shitty nighttime soap on network TV for a couple seasons.
I'm grateful for the women who have decided against it. At least they have their dignity in their private lives. They really aren't going to get work anyway. They look like freaks and the only relevance they achieve is having their freak pics circulated.
