Silly to think he doesn't still do it (except now having other people doing it). The original fishtank threads used watermarked header images so they must have been made by his employees. It's very likely he pays or bribes mods and jannies to allow it.

That said this Harland thing seems to be an organic reaction to all the relentless spam because Sam finally had his inevitable embarrassing fuckup revealing what a sociopathic fraud he is.

If Sam's employees are making these threads, it's probably to "wear people out" on it so they can focus on shilling Extreme Peace without people focusing on the Harland stuff. And collect feedback on overall sentiment Sam can "fix things" in some publicity stunt in the indeterminate future.

The Harland episode is hilarious because usually Sam covers his ass surrounding himself with brown nosers and not engaging in an uncontrolled environment because he's an insincere midwit. Entering the gorilla nest was a rare fuck up from him because for all his midwittery Samstein does have a very gentile sense of pr street smarts to avoid putting himself in positions to have his retardation and insincerity exposed. He probably thought he could handle Harland from the smug belief that HE was the troll and would have the initiative. Sam was genuinely unable to handle boomer bants, and it's satisfying watching someone who shits up the site have a genuine lolcow melty.
