I would agree with you if it wasn't for the terrible ending where everything just sort of fizzles out. They're running through jungles getting attacked. None of the dinosaurs are actually defeated and are still lurking somewhere. There's no plan on their escape. They reach the beach and suddenly a fleet of helicopters is coming to reclaim the island and they happen to arrive at just the right time and day to save everyone. What I hated about 2015 Jurassic World is that the indominus Rex is just a copy of Peter Jackson’s V. Rex. From King Kong. And then the fallen kingdom indominus raptor is just a copy of the velociraptors from the King Kong movie as well. It felt cheap how they couldn’t come up with a cool new hybrid monster for the franchise. It doesn’t help that the whole aesthetic of the dinosaurs is so pathetically lame and boring. The creature design for the entire Jurassic world franchise has this blocky cheap stupid looking aesthetic for all the dinosaurs. This. This is why it's the best one. It knows it only has 3 good ideas: The Spinosaurus, The Raptors, the Pteranodon cage. Spend about 46 minutes total setting up the plot and telling the character stuff, the remaining 46 minutes split 3 ways for all the good ideas to about 15ish minutes of effects shots, boom movie is over. Brevity has value. Loved this movie in the theater. Saw it 4 times as a kid.
