Now the tunes were all pretty good, with several true classics, and the choreography is uniformly great. It just seemed at times like the movie was an obligatory frame to deliver musical numbers. However, there were some shockingly transcendent moments of early postmodernism, which are what I think the film should be remembered longest for.
