Is it just me or does nothing really happen in season 3? It's like they stretched one seasons worth of story into two seasons and you have to wait till season 4 for any payoffs.

I have to say, her acting while in the car with patsie was really phenomenal. The absolute fear and panic seems so genuine and believable. It really made me respect her in a strange wamam0ry.

that's one of the best seasons. livia's death, gloria, pine barrens as overrated as it is, ralphie's best scenes imo (even if the ginnie storyline is season 4), university. it's also the perfect middle ground between wacky sopranos and the more dark stuff, being filmed before 9/11 helped.
if anything, season 4 was significantly shittier in the nothing happens category and is the weakest season. that season has the most filler by far and i'm surprised people overlook that aspect in favor of whoever did this and whitecaps, both of which are at the very end

This would have been a better show if Tony broke her fucking neck when he chokeslammed her but then she lived and was paralyzed and she's just bitching at him from the floor with her neck all twisted at a gross angle and you can see the bones pocking against the skin and her arms and legs are twitching a little but she can't really control them so their also at weird and gross angles and she shits herself while she's lying there waiting for the ambulance and it makes a big brown&red pool on the floor because bpd bitches always have ibs and can't produce solid bowel movements, and then Tony leaves saying he wants to go rent some videotapes but he actually just wants to go play with his foreskin while he sits in his car with the windows rolled down and the ac on, and it turns out he never actually called the ambulance because he thinks typing out so many numbers on his phone is boring so Gloria eventually starves to death laying in a pool of her own effluence

Nah you're right. It's a transition from the first two to the later ones. Sure there are great episodes, but aside from Ralphie and Gloria there's not much going on. It didn't help that the main antagonist of the season was fucking Jackie Jr, one of the worst characters and actors in the entire series. Junior, Carmella and Tony have plenty of memorable moments, but the rest of the cast? Not so much. It's also the most episodic season by far, even the first had more continuity to it.
