It's because they want to convince themselves that comic books and the movies adapted from them aren't childish entertainment and I'm not going to pretend I don't enjoy them when done well because they're meant to be simple entertainment.

But because of their egos they need to delude themselves that Snyder's trash are deep works of art because he throws in Christian symbolism, desaturates the colors and makes everything ugly including the stories themselves that are rife with nihilism and the opposite of what this specific type of comic book movie should be.

Then there's the butthurt over Marvel dominating the comic book superhero genre for the last decade while DC fumbled by rushing for Avengers money instead of taking their time and hired the absolutely worst person they could outside of Michael Bay.

So they fucking cried and screamed for the "Snyder Cut" of Justice League, believing that he wasn't allowed to complete his masterpiece when all it did was add just more fucking shit to an already trash movie.

Oh and they let him shoot a bunch of new shit that was fucking awful and where he started with that fucking retarded bullshit of fucking around with the focus causing everything to go in and out of focus because the brain damaged gym rat probably makes it more "artistic" and not headache inducing.

His DCU is fucking trash and if it wasn't they wouldn't have needed to reboot it.
