MDE fell off after World Peace got canceled, Sam learned how to grift and basically print money for doing nothing. After actually being forced to do comedy after 10 years of grifting he lost his touch. Who could've guessed?

In the end, did they achieve more world peace?

honestly I feel like world peace was way funnier, due to the feeling of "oh my God you can't say that on TV." With Extreme Peace a lot of the jokes are just "haha in detail sex" or "haha nigger"

Following up on this, I think a good example of them losing their edge is how they have not one, but two 9/11 jokes. I dunno, it just feels like MDE would be above making 9/11 jokes. 10-15 years ago they were really good at making prophetic jokes that nobody else dared say, but now they're just kinda blending into the crowd.

My ultimate realization with these guys is that none of them, not even Nick (often cited as "the funny one"), graduated above "high school class clown" level. They're that goofy kid you knew in class that somehow managed to make his classmates laugh to get them to like him. The kid you imagined might grow up to be a comedian, but like just about every class clown, these guys never really did.
Even putting them in a standup routine situation, they behave exactly how you would expect your resident class clown to act. Sam unprofessionally relied on reading his jokes off paper for years even.
And that's the thing, these guys aren't professionals. Put them next to a professional comedian and well, you know how that looks.
Somehow they've managed to create this larp cult of completely faking it because their autistic dick riders can't tell the difference and that they stole all their jokes from imageboards. And then avoided being exposed as frauds, until now.
No wonder Sam considers Joe Rogan is saving grace, Joe is of the mindset that you can actually be a comedian if you just declare you are and hump a stool on a stage, and everyone will believe you. It's a delusion. And Sam thought he could trick Rogan the same ways Jews think they can trick God by swinging chickens around to transfer their sins or some shit.

episodes too long. you can write a whole essay if you want but the problem is that the 11 minute runtime of WP forced them to chop up the sketches into schizo adhd editing and it was way funnier than dragging it out. I like the Friendsgiving and Prom sketches a lot though

It's not on a cable or streaming service and is only accessible through the website. Louis C.K. and Don Hertzfelt both do this, and its why you hardly if ever hear enough positive reception about their works despite them being really good (subjective) or high quality (objective). You know Lucas Pope made a new game, the guy behind Papers Please and Obra Dinn? It's exclusive to the playdate

Very mediocre looking back. I don't think Sam himself had a single memorable skit in the show, Erick did good in terms of performance in all of his but even his "Fix It" skit was just off pacing wise, electrician was better. Nick had a couple of good moments, the hispanic bot cop was funny

Charls was far and away the highlight. Streamer date and Prom Night were the only two sketches that got me actually cracking up hard, and I'm not even a charls fanboy, I never watch him outside of MDE but those two sketches are so far and away the best.

World peace wasn't even that funny compared to their online stuff years prior.
With the exception of "goobas" MDE hasn't been funny since Sam's mirror videos

You’re almost there to understanding. This is what happens when (they) don’t want you to succeed without them in media.
