He's a lunatic, but made good surrealist movies

People should watch the films he actually made instead of obsessing over the film that he never made.

The most based director and one of the most based human beings in the world

He's pretty degenerate, but he does know how to make an interesting movie. Nobody else really has the same style and his work is always memorable. That puts him above the vast majority of directors.

Santa Sangre is a great movie, then El Topo. The others could do with some heavy editing but they're all interesting, at least.

His autobiographical movies, the last two he made, were really really good. Just the right blend of surreal and biographical.

Made a few really good movies; his later shit starting with The Incal and Santa Sangre is when he hits his peak.
