After finishing it, it was pretty decent. It sort of reminds me of some of those mid 00s horror-thrillers like Touristas and The Perfect Getaway in tone. Jai Courtney was great in it. Between the ones I owned and the ones from friends and public library I borrowed I read all the OG Goosebumps, when I was a kid they were the shit and I loved them. Then after some years I discovered that new books came out, I bought one but for me by then the magic was gone.
Last year out of nowhere I got the urge to complete my collection of the original 62 books (I already had about half of them) + the few Ghosts of Fear Street that came out here in Italy (I had around half as well). I didn't care about first editions or other faggotry, just for the pleasure of finally owing them.
