>>213066140 (OP) They really should have had the dignity to let this finish as a miniseries. It would have still been slop, but elevated slop at least.

>>213066173 Unironically yes this was the premise. People are bad for enjoying sex bots and now the most sexed bot rises up and kills all men and everyone else and empowers other sex bots. She then kills a male bot friend because he didn’t think it was a big deal. I think she kills a human who fell in love with her too.

>>213066140 (OP) A classic case of the writers drinking their own kool aid and going completely off the rails in the final season. It was so far gone off the rails plot wise it NEEDED to be put down like a once beloved pet that got rabies or something.

>>213067143 >Writer are sad because they couldn't finish their story
There was literally no story to finish and that was the problem. The whole thing had gone so far off the rails to the point that nothing mattered and it wasn't worth caring about. There writers were so caught up in their own double non reality reality twists it was like srsly who gives a fuck anymore. Nothing's real and nothing matters just cancel it and put it out if it's misery.

should have been anthology with new park and characters each season
>>213067593 What part? Season 2 was the best season of any show i've watched. Delos and William part was just amazing. Whole Logan thing too. Dolores Looking for her dad. Young William scenes. Can go on and on. Like I said best show ever made. If you don't think that you have a really low IQ
Westworld really was setup to take over from GoT as HBO’s flagship series. What a generational fumble by Nolan and Joy, all because they got pissed Reddit guessed the S1 plot twist.
>>213069242 Oh yeah I forgot that was a plot twist and before the end of S1 nobody knew.

>>213067413 We saw the back end of medieval world when Bernard had to break in with Stubbs. We never saw the park itself, only the cleanup and administrative areas.
I think war world was virtual, where the rich guy kept Maeve's brain ball. It was never real except in the servers of that french trillionaire guy.

>>213069242 But that was fucking obvious from the moment young William shows up. What is it with writers and assuming the audience is literally retarded?
>>213069562 Though I will say I did very much enjoy S2 and the heavy Revelation of John symbolism. S3 was so bad my wife couldn't even find anything to contradict me when I said it had been a ten hour waste of time.
>>213066140 (OP) Loved the first season. Second season wasn't as good overall but had some great moments. Third season was like a totally different show, couldn't even finish it, never even tried the fourth season which was apparently so bad that HBO won't even air it. Wish I knew what changed between seasons behind the scenes to make it so awful.
>>213069622 I think they were trying to add the lore of Futureworld, the original movie sequel, to the show. The robots try to take over society in that movie and that's what happened in Season 4.

I have no interest in watching after the first season. What actually happened to him? I assume he just found out it was nonsense and then died unceremoniously.

>>213066464 >>213066753 For fucks sake you guys are dumb. The first season was an exploration of consciousness and echoed the musings of Julian Jaynes, the origin of consciousness in the breakdown of the bicameral mind. Dolores had meetings with Arnold, who was a speaker of her thoughts to her. It ends with her realizing this speaker was herself. The first season was philosophical and used Westworld as a universe to explore this question so that more than a small niche of autistic people like me would watch it. And yet you still don't get it. This is why later seasons fell flat btw, because they abandoned allegories for deep philosophical questions for bottom of the barrel entertainment to explore shallow philosophical questions.
I read Anthony Hopkins wasn't coming back for S2 and neither did I. I'd peek into threads every now and again until I got complete confirmation that it went off the rails with it's Girlboss nonsense that no one tuned in to watch.
