Because, for all its faults, it's got great aesthetics, memorable setpieces and fun dinosaur action. It's car kino, as well.
It's just that the faults in its writing and execution outweigh a lot of the good stuff if you don't turn off your brain and simply let the John WIlliams' score guide you to kinoland.

I say this as a JPIIIchad that hates TLW.
