however there were dropped ideas from the original alien early on that would have dallas or someone from the crew who ended up in the vents finding intially scratches on the vent walls but later on it would turn into a written language or a type of hieroglyphic as the alien would age since it essentially was a newborn coming into the world growing up very fast

There's a theme of the Alien inheriting the darker side of its host. Ash has that comment about it being "Kane's son." Maybe Kane had feelings about Lambert, which the alien then lived out in the most violent way possible.
