Seriously, how the fuck does a talk show have a budget in excess of $100 million? What the fuck were they spending it all on? Even disregarding Colbert's ridiculously overpriced salary of $15-20 million, that's still more than $80 million for a show that's basically just a guy talking at a desk, celebrities shilling their grabage, and some skits. And why did it need a staff of 200 people? What were they all doing? All that money for a show that was losing almost half its annual budget to air to an audience that was 90% boomers? Really?
