Stylistically, the trailers didn't look anything like happy gilmore 1. I think he wrote another movie, some slop about him bonding with his daughter, and probably turned it into happy gilmore 2 for marketing.

I just got done watching it and I laughed my ass off. Keep in mind, I'm in my 40s, and the first adam sandler my brothers and I watched together was literally Happy Gilmore. Are these just so called 'critics' just depressed, miserable people? serious question. The movie made me laugh, and even I thought going in that this movie would be shit. I'm impressed.
