I liked the film in general, but it seems mad they helmed a brand new reboot of the franchise and universe with this film? What if James Gunn doesn't want to do Superman 2? Who is going to replicate that style without an insane tonal shift that comes out as retarded? They should have gone safe and made a template that could then spiral in many different directions. How is Batman going to match this version of Metropolis, for example? It seems retarded they went this direction for a new universe

Why did Gunn make a superman movie where clark gets his ass kicked the whole way through? When I watched this it gave me Justice League (the cartoon) vibes with how Supes gets beat up by literally everybody. I'm not saying he should win every fight, especially when kryptonite's involved or a clone but there's not a single moment in this film where supes gets to just style over everybody, his dog's more menacing than he is.
