the original director and screen writer got into a retarded lawsuit to see who had the real rights to the franchise, that lawsuit prevented the devs from updating and later on working on the game, the devs then informed the community they would have to shut down the game at a certain time and made the game really cheap so people can buy it and enjoy the last few months it had of life, you can still play the game but only through third party servers and it's basically full of cheaters and shitheads.
