I would still throw Family Guy on in the background every night if it was still on Adult Swim. It's a shame they lost it, has to be one of the biggest fumbles in TV network history.

I'm old enough to have watched The Simpsons' first ever UK airing on Sky One in 1990. I even taped it on VHS which I still have in a box in the loft. It pains me to see what the show has become.

because you are watching it on a larger display. you aren't using nearest neighbour or some shit, like it's pixel art, you might as well watch it in a higher resolution. unless they ever re-scan the original animation or something.

Disney doesn't like doing home media releases of its shows so you're dependant on paying for Disney+, that's why all the DVD releases of the Fox cartoons stopped once Disney bought them.

Simpsons only released a single bare boned BR season (Season 20, the first high def season) and they skipped multiple seasons to get it released.

The real issue is that we don't fucking have massive multi-season budget releases for American Dad and King of the Hill. Simpsons has a 20 season set (which remains the only way to get seasons 18 and 19) and Family Guy has (now OOP) Seasons 1-7 and Seasons 8-14 sets. But American Dad has not had DVD releases for the last 4-5 seasons and the ones released are OOP, while KoTH is also OOP.

I will still watch Family Guy every new episode when it was on Sunday, I keep forgetting it's on Thursday for some reason and I miss a tone when it's on that day.

Simpsons I once in a while give it a try, it's okay but not enough for me to go and make it any sort of appointment viewing
