I just finished it and I liked it. Galactus was cool, I liked Doctor Doom hanging out with franky in the end credits.

I didnt think disney had this type of quality in them. The men weren't played like bumbling retards, mary sue was only like that because her kid was in danger, she wasnt just a bad ass unbeatable girlboss who talked down to those icky dumb men. They didnt make the robot a wisecrackin lip smacking black who race baits or whos overly racist.
I liked that the fantastic 4 didnt spend the whole movie being quippy and getting their ass kicked. I appreciated that they played it serious. I liked that it was family orientated, Reed and mary Sue weren't fighting a custody battle or being shitty to each other. No gays or trannys.

Breddy gub all and all. Im still worried about Doctor Doom and how they are going to portray him. I hope they keep this same type of style instead of making him a goof ball or brunt of a joke like Loki.

I liked it well enough. I think it is within Sue's power level in the comics, especially as an act of desperation that kills her.

If I was writing it, I would have had Reed kill himself to save Franklin instead. I think that would have been a more satisfying conclusion to the minor question of how much Reed cared. Him coming back with some level of understanding of Franklin's power, that he previously lamented he could not comprehend would have been fitting thematically too.

As it was, it was fine. I can just see how things work better.

Not excusing the movie but OG Galactus is actually pretty small and his size has varied over the years as he needs to be. So them going for that size is very much in line with comics. It's more of a matter of "doing Galactus early = he jobs as he always did in his earlier appearances" vs "doing Galactus later = treating him as a cosmic threat worhy of a crossover" (which is still very rare).
