The west, particularly the anglosphere, is the place where the concept of superheroes has been the most ingrained.
To an American the idea of a superhero is just a part of life, kids and even adults will ask each other who their favorite costumed crime-fighter is.

In the developed world people are moving away from going to see movies in theaters in general.
