>>213122587I've been watching him since 2011 or so. I was a big fan until just the past year or so. I still am entertained by a lot of what he does, but it's become distracting how he projects himself as some sort of prophet for right wing incels (I know this sounds buzzwordy, but it's literally what he's doing, despite claiming otherwise), and just how many of his new fans (post 2016) seem gullible and simpleminded. He's become this weird sort of literal cult figure rather than a funny guy with some "based" political opinions from time to time. I even agree with him on a lot of political points, and back in 2011 his vids like KSTV where he'd randomly go off on political tangents were sort of novel and even informative at times, kinda changing my perspective on a lot of things, so I have to give him credit for that. But still, it was different to today and I can't even discern exactly why. It felt more personal and less grifter-y. It was just an angry young guy venting in his apartment and that was more relatable compared to what he's doing now, where he's commanding an army of NPC incels from a stage like some LARPing Nazi dictator. I think what it is is that it lacks the ironic humour it once had. There's nothing particularly funny about going on stage, screaming about Israel, and having a bunch of goons nod and cheer in agreement. It just feels forced and odd.
