For me, all the seasons are consistent and are B-grade at most. The problem is that the show just doesn’t make sense. Characters are always unrealistically late, overworked, and angry. It’s tiresome. The show sticks to one single tone all the time, and that one tone is boring.
There’s also no character development everyone is just late and yelling, which is just bad writing.

The final episode from Season 2 might be one of the dumbest episodes in any series ever. It’s literally restaurant workers cooking for their own family, and yet they’re somehow still late and irrationally furious with each other. It makes zero sense.

The one-take episode is also awful—it builds up conflict but never resolves anything. A problem is introduced, people scream, and then the episode just ends without explaining what even happened.

The only character who has any actual development—and the only episode with a real character arc—is Richie (Cousin) in the “Forks” episode. That one stands out, but the rest is stuck in the same repetitive format.

Atmosphere is nice, photography is nice, music is nice. The premise had potential. Good acting even. But the writing fucking sucks. I wouldn't be surprised if it's all written by AI. Dialogues suck too, mumbling and repetitions every episode.

All style, no substance. Which is sad, considering the premise had a lot of potential for story and character development. How to ruin something promising 1.1

I just watch it for what it is, sadly

walked into this little restaurant 10 minutes before close, made eye contact with the chef through the pass, and ordered the most cursed ticket i could think of, well-done steak, no salt, extra aioli, gluten-free bread on a burger that never had bread to begin with.

watched him hold back tears like he was in season 3 of the bear.
called him “chef” the whole time just to feed the delusion.
asked for a deconstructed salad then said never mind and asked them to reconstruct it.

when it was all over, i left a single silver dollar as the tip placed it way up on the highest shelf in the kitchen, where he’d need a ladder to get it.
he saw it. we locked eyes.
wish I could’ve seen the dumb wagie find what I left him in the bathroom lol

It's Merz b Schwanen and yes the shirts are like $140. I've bought a few used and really like the wide open neck hole, good fabric and no side seams. Can't stand feeling strangled by a tee. Never watched the bear, but now when these shirts gets listed they often have "THE BEAR" in the listing name and want like $200 for them.

Worked in a restaurant once. The power was divided between a clique of mean girl type servers who were the real draw of the place as far as eye candy and a man child dishwasher, who literally stated that he had zero loyalty to the place and who always fucking left when the place closed, forcing staff to have to finish anything he didn't wash because no one wanted to do dishes full time and would blare shitty alt rock crap (talking heads, joy division, U2's 90s albums) in a place where everyone preferred rap, just to annoy us.

The main chef hated the servers because they wouldn't fuck him and hated the dishwasher because he only cared about himself and gamed the system relating to how no one wanted to do his job to get a regular schedule (which no one else had) and consistent hours. Which the chef hated, because he liked keeping everyone on random work schedules and fucking with their hours to keep them subservient to him.
