Her initial grief with the movie was that they presented the contract to her agents (who then presented it to her the same way in turn) that she would be in a Spider-Man movie, and then it turns out she was just doing a girlboss spinoff that was obviously awful. So she fired her agents, followed through with her contract but was publicly miffed with the movie. This could be Marvel’s attempt to do right by her and actually put her in a Spider-Man movie.
