> idgaf because I'm secure in my masculinity. I don't feel intimidated by feminine things. so I can enjoy them.
Every man has an internal gaydar. As men we all dont do something as soon as it feels gay. Yours is just tuned with a higher tolerance for gay shit.
So what if youre secure. Youre secure enough in gay shit.
So concession accepted. Nosferatu was soaked on soi estrogen.
>>213310002 (OP)This guy wears a Drive jacket now.
>>213310075Also, men that wear pink say they secure in their masculinity when their friends call them gay.
We all have different tunings in our gaydar and different tolerances to woke dei shit in movies.
>>213310075What would you say about that scene in To West's X where Jenna Ortega fucks a black man in front of her bf? Would that count as soi? How does that scene make you feel?
>>213310122Its funny, because at the end of the day, no straight mans wants to say he enjoys things for girls. So some of yall pretend I am making shit up or just try to pretend those moments arent in the movie. Or it just flies over your head because your masculinity wasnt high enough to notice it.
>>213310156Spoken as a true top 10% (piss) man
>>213310122Excuse me you mentally ill freak, do you have a rough time you're going to log off today?
>>213310143Idk, that was just peak American propaganda where the black guy is a cool hip guy. Its whatever. Loads of American films are like this. Blacks are dei and once you see them for what they are, its hard to ignore.
>>213310144Anal sex with M3GAN!
>>213310195The Canada flag always gets me
>>213310195Yeah, im mentally sound cause im in top physical shape. Based on your movie choices, you clearly are effeminate by now. Out of shape and fat and high estrogen. People change when their test declines. You enjoy soi horror. It is okay to watch a movie once to see how it is. But to talk about and pretend the emotional female scenes arent there and be defensive about it is peak soi.

Good morning /hor/
Beloved and acclaimed Canadian actress Sarah Gadon is in a new horror miniseries coming to Netflix!
https://youtu.be/YKv5_uJgzts?si=CxfbaQVLSZJfQqbv [Open]
https://screenrant.com/netflixs-mysterious-new-horror-series-wayward-gets-first-trailer-featuring-horror-icon/
>Wayward whisks viewers to the seemingly idyllic town of Tall Pines, a place where sinister secrets lie just beneath the surface. When police officer Alex Dempsey (Mae Martin) and his pregnant wife Laura (Sarah Gadon) move to town, they encounter two desperate students, Abbie (Sydney Topliffe) and Leila (Alyvia Alyn Lind), from the local โtroubled teenโ school. As Alex digs deeper into a series of unsettling incidents, all signs point toward Evelyn (Toni Collette), the schoolโs enigmatic leader.
Like if you guys watch a movie at home where you can check out whenever gay shit comes on, its okay ig. But eventually when it keeps happening, you just turn it off. I couldnโt even finish 28 Years Later. It was shit. I was surprised they let the first 30 minutes of the movie happen even though the chief was some old lady. The father and son leaving the island to go hunt was the coolest part. I am surprised they didnt cast a daughter character instead.
Then when they shoehorned the mother in just to have a female main character and the infected pregnant female, I knew what was happening

>>213310392I doubt it will be horror but since we don't know, and it stars Sarah Gadon - I'll allow it.
>>213310392Is that the blonde actress who's friends with up and coming Canadian actress Amanda Fix?
>>213310392Looks pretty interesting. No in your face blacks in the trailer.
>>213310409Concession accepted.
*ding dong*
>>213310392> Evelyn (Toni Collette), the schoolโs enigmatic leader.Females lack charisma and only redditors follow females. I dont mind the character but I hope they dont force her into some girlboss.
Also, the movie reminds me of the Sacrement which was about a cult too.
>>213310423>Is that the blonde actress who's friends with up and coming Canadian actress Amanda Fix?YES! That is the Canadian actress Sarah Gadon.
>>213310524Wouldn't you agree that Toni Colette looks good (as most 30yo+ women do)?
>>213310367>tfw no cutie Tina gf
While we are on this topic, the Hill House series and Blyth Manor were for females too.
>>213310584Make up is important. In her pic with Toronto mayor, she looked mid. Female beauty is an illusion.

Kind of funny Charles Band ran it into the ground somehow and then made Full Moon Productions to just keeping going? Also more surprising is Ghoulies made $35 million in 1985, that's a pretty huge hit.
>>213310367The scariest zombie depiction is in a horror comedy, how bizarre
>>213311113>Kind of funny Charles Band ran it into the ground somehow and then made Full Moon Productions to just keeping going? He learned from the master, his father Albert Band.
Both were geniuses at taking things that shouldn't work at all and turning them into campy masterpieces with a very limited budget.

Any Japanese horror recs in the vein of Cure?
In fact any horror recommendation in the vein of Cure, works.
Thanks frogs.
I previously posted this to the
>>213290073 arthouse general, and was redirected here instead.
>>213312965Did you watch Kairo by the same director?
>>213313006No but it's on my list. Is that the one called Pulse in english?
>>213313023Yeah, it's excellent. Cure is a bit more of a psychological horror/thriller, Kairo/Pulse leans more supernatural.
The Wailing is also a good Korean film you'll like. A lot of the 90s era j-horrors have that dreamy element to them though so also check out Ringu and Ju-On: The Grudge
Session 9 is a western one in that vein worth a watch.
>>213313100I've watched the wailing, and I've also watched the tale of 2 sisters, and that's kind of my introduction into the korean/japanese horror/psychological thriller scene. I'll check the recommendations out.
>>213313172Can't go wrong with any of the 90s/2000s era stuff. May as well throw in two more.
>Suicide Club (very unique, like Cure if it was a lot more strange)>Missing Child Videotape (very new film, Kairo ripoff but first good j-horror in years to be honest)

ITT: We breed the ultimate horror creatura.
I think pic related would be a hard combo to beat.
Smile 3 script leaked. Premise:
>The curse reaches the President and his family. Can they ward it off for good whilst trying to keep America from falling apart?
>>213315925I'm surprised no one has tried killing themselves with no witnesses to end the curse that seems like the only way.
>>213316385I think the demon might let you believe you had, but even the cop's plan went bad, and he was reasonably lucid, while everyone else is trying shit when they're already in the puppy wrapping/spa day hallucination
>>213315925I really hope it can mass infect and idk if this idea would be good. But there is a potential for the demon to be killed off because it relies on trauma for transmission, if you have a politician's family look at someone's brains oozing out the back of their skull from taking a metal pipe to their own head repeatedly, do they care?
>>213316591The cop's plan failed because he chose armed criminals instead of a random civilian like the black guy in jail did.
>>213316771Nah it would have failed to transmit if the kid hadn't been there. He was trying to infect someone armed to create a suicide by cop nobody is traumatised by while the demon is just trying to infect. One of the big problems for characters is trying to be alone enough that nobody cares, and I still think a political family would probably be like, you have no idea what other shit i've seen and I might smile inside at all these people's deaths anyway

This was better than expected. The plot reminded me a bit of The Skeleton Key.
>>213315433Onibaba >>>>>>>> Kuroneko
I just watched "The Ruins" (2008). Kek'd when the main characters were killed or killed eachother. Apart from that the basic story/idea would have made for a B movie in the 1950s. (But it's a Dreamworks SKG movie from 2008.)
Also the dumbest cunt in the team somehow got to be the "final girl". Totally undeserved.
>>213319858>intelligent evil plant can learn to mimic cellphone ringtones>intelligent evil plant can't into airborne pollen
>>213320099Yeah, right. Also what did they do with the boy Amy threw the wine at? They shot him, but what did they do with his body? Wouldn't they have to cremate him? But then again they can't touch the body, or they'd be infected with the vine, too. But his body was gone in the final scenes.
That's why I had the feeling the story was 1950's 15 cent comic book material, but not for a full feature film made by a big production company in 2008.
River of Blood (2024)
>Four kayakers take the wrong river into a jungle inhabited by a tribe of merciless cannibals.
It's another one of those movies again. Directed by the same guy who did Escape (2023) and The Ledge (2022), which were both jank.
whats your Fulci top 3? for me its
1. Zombie (1979)
2. Don't Torture a Duckling (1972)
3. The Beyond (1981)
which horror films have hot tomboys? like in evil dead rise? it's okay to border on they/them territory if you understand what I mean.
>>213321327Four Flies on Gray Velvet
Technically not a horror movie, but I felt more fear and tension in this film than I have in actual horror films

Just a normal American girls high school soccer team from the 90s. Renewed for season 4 btw.
>>213331283the first one had a perfectly timed release for meta horror bullshit taking off but i really do like scream 2. possibly more.
>>213331378An honest opinion.
>>213331050I don't blame you one bit. None of the sequels are really good and everything after the original 4 exist solely to keep a stranglehold on the rights.
>>213331440Funnily enough, my experience with the Friday the 13th movies went 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 5, 1, 2 then the rest in order. If I had seen 5 after 4, I probably would have given up on the series at that point.

>>213331791Friday the 13th 5 is superior to 6. But everything after Hellraiser 2 sucks like the other anon said.
>>213321787i went with two friends to a midnight showing, but there was a black couple that came in a half hour late and then talked for the rest of the movie

>>213332221Inferno is kino and I will not stop saying it.
>>213332233Ah perfect. I love the theatre experience
>>213332272I don't know if I have seen Inferno. I gave up at a certain point and there are a couple I missed. I get them confused after 3. I will give it a chance.
>>213332609>>213332233I had a weird experience in cinema where someone got a message, and it was actually urgent, and they booked it out of there a few weeks ago
I was like, shit, for once it was someone on call who left their phone on. I figured people who got urgent messages didn't exist any more because most of the time it's just they got a tiktok live notification they're going to watch for the next two hours
>>213332730Prometheus was worth watching in theaters
>>213320473I bet it won't even have gratuitous animal killings or genital abuse.
>>213332730I'm sure they'll always remember the day smiggy buggins or whatever went live and mumbled into his phone for 40 minutes
>>213332792I like going to cinemas anyways, sometimes the crowd is fun
But I legit hadn't seen someone with an urgent call that made them leave since brick phone days
Maybe the guy just had a really bad date and got someone to call him as an excuse but it was weird to see it happen
Last movie I saw in the cinema was Skyfall in December 2012. I liked the movie, but I haven't seen the need after that. Things get released online in a timely fashion.
He saw Imaginary in theaters
