>whyβd the narrative flip from
>>green energy just method to weaken china
That was never the narrative. China never complained about this challenge because the Chinese government is smarter than monkeys like Obama or Trump or Macron or Ursula or Merkel. China accepted the challenge and proudly announced that they will switch to green energy. Nobody believed them but fast forward a few years and they're reaching their own projected expectations for generated renewable energy and oil peak demand much sooner.
It is a fact that this green energy push was a conniving tactic by the developed world (that already polluted the world to their heart's content) to stiffle the developing countries that need heavy industries and don't have the luxury to have a service based economies. We know it was a ploy because even those western countries are dragging their feet, thinking there was no need to rush now that China's development will suffer.
But they were wrong. China buck broke them.
The western think tans are now shitting bricks, calling it "unprecedented". Every year they try to predict China's green surge

No. It's over. I mean it not as a doomer or a gloater. This is an objective fact. It is over. China won.
>We see good EVs made outside of China
No we do not. Not one is competative with Chinese models and those that come close use Chinese batteries, software, EV platforms or rare earth.
There is NO supply chainS (plural). There is only A singular supply chain - and it is Made in China.
