How so? I haven't seen Bronson or Pusher (which I've heard are good and need to see), but outside of going back to death, morality, and oedipal themes they aren't remotely the same movies. The only time I started catching noticeable repetition was in Too Old To Die Young where I'd catch obvious references to OGF, Neon Demon, and Drive.

I watched the first episode of TOTDY without watching the rest and told my mom about it, then later watched the rest (luckily not with her), because in that series the arc with Jesus and Magdalena was not even fucking subtle about the Oedipus complex there, it was straight up stated with documented citations.

You should read the original script. It's interesting. So many changes, mostly for the better but there are a couple of things in the original that were done better.
Funnily enough, the original script actually explained the title (it was basically the mother's catch phrase) which doesn't come up once in the final film.

Autistic snob faggot. Yes, the Pusher movies are good, but Refn usually makes tepid bullshit slop when he writes his own scripts. Copenhagen Cowboy for instance has Drive's ominous, electric atmosphere but no direction, no cohesion, nothing to hold it together. The final product is a collapsed neon cake. It's Refn jizzing neon spunk all over the canvas. He literally made the story up on the spot and it shows. Drive however is a perfect film. Give the man a script suited to his strenghts and he works wonders. But of course the weight of Drive's popularity makes it sink to the bottom of your list. I get it. How smart one seems when sneering at popular things, no?

This has a few cool audio-visual sequences, that is, scenes. It's overall a kind of off though. Refn has some cool ideas that work well sometimes, but he should've had someone else write this. Could have been kino instead of flick.
