The highest grossing independent films of all time, made entirely outside the Hollywood system. Now you know why Hollywood entertainment media (aka propaganda for the studios) were so hellbent on destroying the reputation of these films and George Lucas for so many years, to the point they bullied and peerpressured Lucas in to selling Star Wars and Lucasfilm to Disney. No one needed to tell me the movies were bad. I watched the first two in theaters. I made excuses for the first one because I knew George Lucas’ great quote about how most sci-fi is just showing off the work they did rather than telling a story, and I was sure Lucas wouldn’t make tech demos masquerading as movies. Then after the stupidest failed assassination/chase sequence ever filmed i went to the bathroom and seriously considered slicing my wrists to not have to go back into the auditorium. During this I realized I could just ignore the fact the movie was god-awful and force myself to enjoy it. I felt the membrane of reality pressing against my mind. It’s really fragile. I went back, accepted the movie is shit, watched the rest, and accepted that Star Wars was dead.

AOTC shows Anakin as a talented teenager. The jedi know he's VERY powerful but also emotional and reckless. He falls in love with that one girl he met 10 years ago. Also his mom dies and these events start his downfall
