Yup. The characters are day and night. This shared difference between the characters is what caused the showdown between the two in the Dark Knight Returns. But in BVS it’s Batman wanting to stop Murderman

If you read the comics most of the DC big events ends with Superman battling the big villain that killed trillions on a major city with vast destruction all around everyone. Basically something ten times worse than anything shown in MoS.
Or Superman being mind-raped and turning evil so the Justice League has to fight him, with Wonder Woman specifically often being used as the big hero that stops Superman. This since the 2000s.
