Yeah it has good bits, well written. Starts getting old/you can feel it running out of material in the last 30 minutes or so but it's funnier than you would imagine

My actually autistic brother watched this movie easily over a 1000 times on vhs and stills quotes it to this day. He quoted the " I'll make it look like a bloody accident" scene the most.

The only person I knew who liked it was my autistic ex girlfriend. Legitimately a movie made for autismos.

My brother and I thought this was the funniest shit ever. We would constantly re-watch this scene. Especially when he says "son of a bitch"

It's one of the worst movies I've seen.

But it doesn't show in pictures or 5 second clips

It was a masterpiece of the marketing research team

it's one of those movies where it's such a train wreck that you can't take your eyes off it, Harry Shearer watched Jerry Lewis' unreleased holocaust clown movie and had this to say, which describes The Cat in the Hat perfectly
>Seeing this film was really awe-inspiring, in that you are rarely in the presence of a perfect object. This was a perfect object.
>This movie is so drastically wrong, its pathos and its comedy are so wildly misplaced, that you could not, in your fantasy of what it might be like, improve on what it really is
>"Oh, My God!"β€”that's all you can say.

People really didn't like this? People were just too harsh with it. Now they got what they want where there will never be a live action Dr. Seuss movie and now the New Cat in the Hat movie is going to try to be Minions with it's Thing no. expanded cast.

Was this any good?

it was popular with kids because it was reusing jokes from a dozen different sources, but mostly mr show, that kids wouldn't have seen.
