Great episode but it was only season 4. I like parts of the Homer boxing episode but for some reason that’s when it started to feel off to me. Homer already had the ability to take a bowling ball to the stomach, and now he can get punched in the face repeatedly. I know I sound like the nerd complaining about Itchy playing Scratchy like a xylophone, but it felt off to me. Especially since Moe just saves Homer in the lamest way possible.

The Simpsons didn't die, it was a long, slow entropy. The show was still perfectly enjoyable up to the turn of the millennium, if not as great as the golden years, and it arguably wasn't even until the end of the 2000s that it finally became offensively unwatchable.
