He doing it to himself. He made the jump from TV to movies, became a movie star and got greedy. Good movie stars and big time celebs know when to pull back from over exposure so as to maintain a long career. He’s currently at the edge of that. If he keeps pushing it, ten years down the line he’ll be “remember him” starring in nice family comedies
