I just miss funhaus. You wouldn't think it would be that hard for a few guys to just sit in front of a camera and joke around while playing games, but there's no one else who fucking does it that doesn't suck ass.

I think part of the secret is that they were just soulless dudebros who didn't give half a shit about video games. Kind of like how watching Conan play games is better than watching any gamer play games.

Same thing that happened with all internet creation: around 2013-14 corporations realized there was big money in monetizing manchild millenials/zoomies who like to watch people play video games and a glut of talentless normie grifters moved in to become the new figureheads. All the pre-corporate internet content creators either had melties by that point and had faded into irrelevance or just accepted they were now internet clowns there to shake shekels out of troons and incels and began to make their passion their jobs including market focus.

Even the ones who held out for as long as they could sold their souls. The funniest imo being Jerma, who not only loved from his soulful Bastan neighborhood to become a corporate influencer in Las Vegas but actually dumped his frumpy asian gf too in favor of a more palatable white woman who tested better with the troon audience that wanted to self insert as his gf.

The problem was becoming too corporate and losing the more intimate parasocial appeal of an eceleb comedy troupe, so anyone blaming it on trannies and women and wokeness is kind of right, since those were all just symptoms of mainstream corporatization in the time they were relevant.
