It's an improvement over the already good Blu-Ray. They didn't jack up the saturation or over sharpen anything, it looks a little soft at times even which works for the film. The grain is nice, skin natural. Blacks are great.

The audio is also great, but those who wanted the DVD bass will be bummed. I think it's perfect though.

I disagree, the framing of the film gate is shifted in several shots I've compared so it looks like they rescanned it. Grain is way better, but not every shot is going to look good because it's a 2000s CG heavy film and composited elements which were mastered in 2K or less are not possible to re-render. Looks pretty good so far.

Constantine was a 4k rebuild and it's readily apparent when watching the movie. WB also made sure articles were pumped out to inform the public. Kingdom of Heaven was a 2k DI upscale and it's very likely the same for this release. I agree that there is a modest uptick in detail. I attribute that mostly to the crusty encoding on the old bluray release. According to self described film professionals on the sanctimonious bluray.com, they seem to also agree that it's most likely an upscale. But it's all hearsay until the facts are presented.
