Anyway, the answer is simple: expectations. As a writer, you spend the first two acts setting up expectations for the ending and the way you resolve these situations can’t and will never satisfy everybody, no matter how good your writing is.

I dont remember this. In fact only The Batman has this problem afaik. The Hateful Eight was kino with the exception of the ending, not the entire last third.
