This is a weird argument to make, because there are tons of Catholic elements in the books / films, but one religious theme is much like another so you can attribute it to another religion if you'd like. The creator himself said it was supposed to be a Catholic perspective so there's that.

The one religion that is not at all present in LotR, however, is Judaism or the Talmud.
