I just want to start off by saying that I don't know why I keep hearing rumors about Wednesday season 2 releasing in two parts, one part (4 episodes) in August and the second part (4 more episodes) in September. I hope it's not true and just some bullshit internet rumor, but when I got to watch it I'm going to check how many episodes are there, and if it's not the whole season released in one go so I can get some popcorn and binge watch the shit out of it in one day/night like an original lord of the rings movie marathon (not the new movies they're awful) then I'm turning the damn thing off and pretending the entire show doesn't exist until I come back maybe 4 months later just to make ABSOLUTELY sure that all the episodes are out.

If all episodes aren't out, then the show DOES NOT EXIST TO ME. netflix can cry about the show getting poor ratings and low viewership count until months later when I come back to conveniently watch all episodes on the same day the way I like it. I did not wait this whole time for season two just to get ONLY 8 PATHETIC EPISODES when other shows in the past had 20-30 episodes per season, only to have netflix be like "oh teehee hehehehehe LOL SORRY YOU ONLY GET 4 EPISODES AND THEN WAIT A MONTH LOL TEEHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" no.

I'm not watching it until MONTHS later and I will watch the show how I want to watch it. You don't tell me how I watch the episodes. The whole season all being released at once thing is a gimmick for stupid people. It doesn't give you any more "control" over how you watch it, it just means that you can't have an ongoing discussion with people, watercooler exchanges, because it's all released in one big coom. You were told this is the cool new thing and you're so special being the first generation that could ever do this, and you're being treated like a mature adult putting you in control.

It's not good for anyone's schedules - it completely wrecks people's schedules, especially if they want to watch it as fast as possible to avoid spoilers, as opposed to a perfectly healthy time each week set aside to relax and enjoy tv.

I think this entire take is painfully delusional because imagine being such a control freak and caring so much about not letting other people watch a show in their own home at their own pace.

releasing the show one episode weekly, or the season in two parts:

You can do this also if they release 1 a week, you just start it later. By your logic they should release the episodes to you as soon as they possibly can, right? Give you as much time as possible to watch them, not on their terms, right?

Unless there's been dramatic shifts to the space-time continuum I haven't been made aware of, they finish the first episode before the last. So releasing them one at a time means they can start releasing the first episodes while they're still working on the final ones, thereby giving you most "control" over when you're going to watch them.

at 1:10 in this trailer you can see a younger Joe Pesci as a police officer.

at around 2:08 Wednesday has brass knuckles, but aren't those illegal? Why doesn't she instantly get arrested? Why is the TSA agent so casual?

Why the goofy exaggerated cartoon alarm noises when they metal detection wand Wednesday?

Why would she bring so many dangerous objects, considering we know that Wednesday is really smart and wouldn't be stupid enough to do that? Why diminish her character by insulting her intelligence by making her appear stupid to the audience just for some cheap comedic opportunity that isn't even that funny? I'm trying to ignore it and just stay immersed, but it's so stupid it breaks my immersion.

How is Wednesday upset with Thing for bringing a tube of sunscreen/hand lotion if she brought all that other stuff? Netflix is really dumbing down her character and it doesn't even come across as funny.

The next scene appears to be some kind of suburban cul-de-sac in "kansas" I guess that looks like a mix of GTA san andreas and breaking bad but somehow even more fake. pooch pampering logo on the groomermobile is diabolical and looks like a cotton candy possessed version of "long dog let medewit foryooooo" meme

Why should everyone have to wait longer to watch all the episodes? If the episodes are done, they should release them all at once. What's the point of making a huge amount of the audience just get stuck waiting until all episodes are available to be able to binge watch them? I'm ignoring the existence of the show until I know all episodes are 100% out. The show doesn't exist to me until then and I'll even ignore the show a few extra months out of pure spite as well, and out of caution or fear that it's still not fully released. Also trailers show that Edith (werewolf girl/Wednesdays roommate/friend) is in danger of dying in season 2. That actually makes me sad because I really think her character is awesome and she's one of the few characters that aren't forgettable. It shows that the people making the show are actually aware of the fact that Edith is a very good character, which makes it more scary for the audience that she might die somehow, which is why they're using her character to create fear and suspense.

So going by the trailer it looks like the kansas city scalper is some dude that they probably defeat in episode one as an entry level villain as some kind of intro. This gives some kind of hope that the rest of the series is actually going to be much more interesting than season one.

The Lady Gaga inclusion feels extremely forced and like a marketing stunt. They saw how her song blew up due to the Wednesday/Bloody Mary edits and decided to shoehorn her in there for a single episode for media attention. The only way it can possibly be good is if she's a meme character that gets violently killed off in the same episode she appears in, or if she makes a new song in the vein of Bloody Mary for the show.
