This movie has way more meaning when you turn 30. It isn’t that he’s trying to hookup with a prime super sexy Natalie Hershlag, it’s that he realizes he’ll never go to another school dance or house parties where he hooks up with a cute girl and he’ll never get drunk for the first time or have the nervous experience of the first kiss or losing his virginity. Now he worries about bills and having a job and maybe finding a wife while knowing if he screws up and loses any of it he’s fucked for life. A big reason to have kids is so you can live vicariously through them.

I just remember being a very wee lad uncharacteristically waking up early on a snowy saturday or sunday seeing this movie on comedy central and falling in love with her and imagining it was me she was talking to where we'd be best friends spending all our time together and then maybe one day kiss. Those were the days. Never seen it since and don't plan to.
