Assoka is Dave Filoni's pet character and Rebels was his passion project. The series could have been watched by only Filoni and it would still be getting renewed.

Can't wait for this to turbo flop. No one has any interest in SW at this point. No one will be in costiume. No one will be camped out for a week beforehand. They fully destroyed it. Success for them I guess.

By this point all of this shit is so tiresome and disappointing that I can't comprehend how people could still care about star wars.
At the beginning It seemed like Mandalorian could be something good after the shit disney trilogy but it ran out of steam quickly and the other shows were just pointless shit from the start.
Filoni lacks the vision to develop franchise. He was good at writing sidestories/fanfics in EU.
