The premise of the thread is based on the assumption that generational differences are real and immovable, but also baked in the contradiction that generations could be combined, or mixed and matched.

On balance, i would agree that generational differences are mostly not real. But I also have to acknowledge that there are real things that coincide with time and generational differences. But it's much grayer and more malleable than OP implied.

The reason what i'm saying sounds contradictory is because i'm trying to untangle all of the contradictions in OP.

Idk if i can summarize it in one sentence, but i would basically say that, the messiness of attempting to generalize entire groups of people based on what year they were born means that any stereotypes or assumptions based on birth year need to be heavily examined, and can really only be ascribed to things happening in the world at the time a person is alive, such as historical events, massive societal trends, etc. -- whereas ascribing something like whether or not an individual has the life philosophy of "might makes right" based on their birth year is an extremely heavy assumption, and it would be incredibly unlikely that two people born a few years apart would have such differing views on such a specific philosophical matter, as compared to say people born thousands of years apart; but then if we have to compare people based on generational differences, we should look at the things that actually have evidence to back them up, rather than baseless assumptions.
