I rewatched the series recently and I remembered that I didn't like her character so I was prepared to hate her, but she surprised me. In the span of a few episodes, she supports child labor, approves of preparing for total governmental collapse and stocking up on guns, and runs cover for US war crimes. This is something completely out of left field for the show and I would have liked to see a deeper exploration of her characterization as an overcompensating hyper-Americanist second generation immigrant. The problem with her is that the other half of her character is "cute nerdy Asian", which is nowhere near as interesting, and also just doesn't fit her physically, she's not that good-looking.
