The approval rating is low because the "Democratic Party" is no longer an organic political entity. Intuitively parties exist to find appealing issues to claim and gain voters with. They are a reflection of society's desires. What we call Democrats today are an inversion of that. They seek to institute and mandate what society should desire. They leverage a massive political machine to enforce this doctrine and generate votes (through ballot harvesting and other means). It's basically artificial. And like all artificial things, it can only be pulled off with effective execution and operation. Once your operators become ineffective (Jews => fat black women), the operation falls apart. Democrats have been dead as a popular entity for about 10 years now, this is a zombie organization that has been living off of ballot harvested fumes and historical goodwill for a while now.

Just like in the 90's, they will rebrand and reinvent at some point as "Republicans: but in Blue" with their own nu-Clinton and the process will repeat. But I don't think that will truly happen until after another embarrassment in 2028. They are still stuck with the fat black women and the foreigners calling for white American taxpayer money to be spent on their imports.

The problem is that progressives liked Booker's theatrics. They are all in on virtue signal protests that don't actually achieve anything. Schumer and his dudes have considered trying to find ways that they can work in a Republican controlled House and Senate to pass Democratic priorities, which would require actually working with Republicans. And their reward? The progressives have threatened them with primaries, it's very possible that we see a Senator Ocasio-Cortez replace Senator Schumer. The Dem base wants to oppose Republicans but they have no clue how to do it effectively and keep digging themselves into a deeper hole, another great idea that they've had is challenging everything Trump does in court so that it winds up eventually going before a Supreme Court that's sympathetic to the Republicans.
