I could never understand women's interest in True Crime. Is it the drama of there being a mystery to think about? This was just announced for TIFF.

I'll only be spending a weekend in Toronto during the festival. Might watch 2 or 3 films. Here's what I'm interested in getting tickets for.

Exit 8
>Genki Kawamura’s Dante-inspired spin on Kotake Create’s cult game traps Arashi star Kazunari Ninomiya in a looping, sterile subway where one mistake resets everything. A purgatorial thriller born from on-set collaboration, Exit 8 fuses gameplay logic with razor-sharp, emotionally charged cinema.

Frankenstein
>Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro’s visually sumptuous adaptation of Mary Shelley’s gothic masterpiece finds Oscar Isaac as the brilliant scientist whose unearthly creation, eerily and ingeniously conjured by Jacob Elordi, blurs the boundaries between life, death, and madness.

Honey Bunch
>Undergoing an unconventional therapy after a recent injury, a woman begins to experience strange occurrences in Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli’s genre-bending thriller.

Junk World
>A surprise attack on a joint expedition between humans and their emancipated clones becomes the freaky fulcrum for a dimension-hopping, time-travel fable set over a millennia before Takahide Hori’s original subterranean stop-motion animated opus, Junk Head.

Obsession
>When a hopeless romantic makes a wish that his long-time crush falls in love with him, a sinister enchantment ensues in writer-director Curry Barker’s freaky and frightening feature debut.

Wrong. Stop watching only big budget hollywood stuff, which can still put out a good movie here and there. Again, you barely watch any movies. You, like the others, suffer from a form of baby duck syndrome & nostalgia.
