Thanks anon. I love seeing Homer be genuinely happy in the early seasons, considering that all the series does is shit on him as a father, a provider, and as a man. When Homer felt genuine happiness, it felt earned.

Early Simpsons had a genuine soul in its writing and characterization that really elevated it.
