But when you're making a movie, and you have a star you're paying millions of dollars to perform in your hundred million dollar movie, they take out insurance policies on the primary cast and the production itself.
its the reason why movies will use stunt men to do something as simple as jump up on a tiny ledge. Its not because the actor COULDN'T do it, but because you're paying a premium of a few thousand dollars a day to make sure this asshole doesn't stub a toe.
If you're tom cruise who insists on skydiving from the ISS without a space suit for your movie, no one is going to take the bet that he isn't going to fuck himself up.
