This is yet another DS9 scene stealer. Oh Tolbor.
>>213396416 (OP)Anjohl Tennan has got to be the most Bajoran name ever. It's like Hitler disguising himself as Jewman Shalom.

Season 7 still fucking sucks. Kira fighting alongside Cardassians and Damar was the only good part.
>>213397021isn't it an intimacy thing?
odo calls kira 'nerys'
>>213397237Yes because nerys is her surname and bajoran names are surname first first name second, so Anjohl is his surname
>>213397119There is no such things as 'filler' episodes they are just normal episodes, filler is a retarded Zoomer concept
>>213397260Lol whoops I meant Kira is her surname
>>213397119I'm OP and I'm not a zoomer. I just chose Bajoran Dukat because that's where I'm at. I watched plenty of TNG fag. Season 7 is ok. I like the final 8 episodes or whatever where it's just a single continuity.
Do people here like the orville? Was there bitterness at the time that it is much better than Discovery?
Just how tolerable is Voyager? Liked TOS by a landslide, TNG is good and so is DS9. Liked the Season 3 and 4 of ENT.
>>213397592I like it a lot. Two-parters are really good.
>>213397592You have to watch Voyager with an open mind. It has good science fiction stories with a decent cast. Its 7 seasons of decent science fiction, nearly the last show of it's kind. It deserves to be respected and treasured.

>>213406540She still got to wear one.
Checkmate.
Also other actors said the first contact uniforms were shit to wear.
>>213397857It's insane to me that not only is this statement true but I actually agree with it.
They made Andy Dick enjoyable to watch.
>>213406587nope never heard that also never heard the ds9 actors complaining about the grey uniforms, you'll have to do better
>>213406676You never watched the Captains documentary that Shatner did?
>>213403509Scotty was pretty fat by the end of his career
>>213407056fat maybe, but not morbidly obese
he got as fat as tilly was at her skinniest, and he earned it. the dude was like 50 and worked a desk job for 30 years
>>213406291If you want to go on a shoulderpad hunt, go back and watch TNG again
THE GREAT /trek/ DS9 WATCHALONG CONTINUES TONIGHT AT 10PM EST
We're only on Emissary part 2 so plenty of time to join in. We're going to watch along with the H&I shit people post because it's free for everyone and accessible and they run one episode a day in sequence.
>>213406770Yes I did in fact I'm pretty sure I'm the one who posted it on /trek/ first time, what's your point?
>>213407207That's not going to happen for a while, after voy its ENT, then back to TOS, doubt I'll get to TNG till next year
>>213396416 (OP)They have to come back to him because every character in that shit story arc is annoying and boring.
>>213408292anon there's only just him and Kai Winn in that whole story arc. and her little assistant guy. but she's also one of the best characters.
Parry+ puts up Kurtzman Trek for free on YouTube and only FIFTY FUCKING THOUSAND PEOPLE are interested.
>>213400375I loved that his French was perfect and Spinerโs was dogshit

>>213408790Probably Naomi Wildman. How did he keep getting away with it?
>>213407601>THE GREAT /trek/ ENT WATCHALONG CONTINUES TONIGHT Fixed that for you
>>213409565ENT comes on last, it's pretty late. Also, it's past the point where I am on my watchthrough so I can't really hop in.
We're doing DS9 because it's on the pilot episode.
ENT is S3 or S4
>>213409590Your point is it's the beginning
Mine is that ENT is better
>>213409649I don't understand how you could possibly be confused
>>213409711We're not watching DS9 because it's in any way preferred. We're watching it because it's just starting, so we can discuss it as the series progresses. Maybe we'll do the same for the other series when they reset but you just came in from left field with the console war post so it was pretty confusing there, stud
>>213409951That is what I said fucktard
Felt like I was on /pw/ for a second
>>213410027>Felt like I was on /pw/ for a secondThat's because you can't understand sentences past 5 words
>>213407601>Fell asleep at 9:45Even if I can't watch along with Trek, I'll keep pace through my DVD box set.
>>213410183It was kind of weird to only watch half of a two-parter anyway, that's the one drawback of this format. Then again, I guess you could look at it as a plus.
It's interesting to watch it the way people did when it first aired, and you get the full effect of the stingers with commercials etc
>>213405176>I do like Ezri thoughshe was written for losers though

>>213408485>ainhehddu8hf1.pngYou complain about SNW yet you post reddit images. Get fucked.
>>213410544>>213410568based are you that anon working on the cruise ship?
DS9 is pretty good, so are these threads recently, but after just finishing it sunday night Ill take a break
>>213410742Understandable anon, I just finished it myself but even so I was noticing all sorts of shit in the pilot I hadn't noticed before like how Odo has semi-visible lips
>>213410695Yeah lifeโs okay some highs some lows
The highs are marine stuff like steering, learning instruments and using lines
The lows are shitty mates power tripping
Itโs really changed my perspective on what serving in starfleet would be like
>>213410816In the enlightened future, there would probably be a lot less power-tripping assholes. Keep that in mind, anon. Sounds like a fun life experience though.
>>213410742I just started DS9. I'm impressed by how polished it is right out of the gate. The characters are interesting so far. The actors seem up to the challenge. I love Avery Brook's line delivery as Sisko. Sisko himself is very sympathetic, having lost his wife in space 9/11 and being caught in the middle of a prophecy that he can't fully grasp.
I also really enjoy the choice of lighting. It's great to watch at night in a completely dark room. I can't wait to see where this series takes me.
>>213410844Probably. But now I know how Riker felt when Jellico demanded four shift rotations. These guys always have to make things difficult instead of just staying out of the crewโs way so they can run things smoothly
Sisko was a fucking shit Starfleet captain and I'm tired of hearing otherwise. That faggot clearly preferred alien races to (white) humans. Insane how he was more triggered by a bald white Canadian than he was by a group of genocidal alien shapeshifters.
Janeway was vastly superior to him. She always put the human race first.
>>213410950This happens in every line of work.
It's also one of the chief reasons Star Trek is terrible when in the wrong hands -- you get some asshole who feels the need to justify his salary as creative lead, or project director, or whatever, and they start "subverting expectations" and changing up core values of the franchise in an effort to win laurels for themselves and advance their careers.
They don't want a Star Trek show to be successful because it's Star Trek, they want it to be successful because of them and their unique ideas, so they can market themselves for more work.
>>213410977>Janeway was vastly superior to him. She always put the human race first. You must've missed this episode, anon
>>213397119All of the writer and asylum episodes were amazing.
>>213411071Within reason, tripfag.
>>213410977THANK YOU!

>>213408485is that the holoslop episode
>>213408557>I loved that his French was perfect and Spinerโs was dogshitother way around, which incidentally also makes it funnier
>>213411071remind me again how voyager caught up to them when the equinox not only got there first, but they were burning alien dolphins for fuel?
>>213411531All sorts of bullshit happens in random one-off episodes. Kes sends them 20 years closer to home, they get some good distance out of a Transwarp Conduit before it malfunctions, things like that
>>213411583I thought at least one of those happens after?
>>213411619It's possible but I know they get -10 years or something from either the slipstream drive or transwarp.
The better question is how had they not massively overtaken the Equinox
also how the fuck did they get through Borg Space
>>213411583I think Q pushed them forward a couple of times too
>>213411465I doubt. Link?

>>213411438I didn't expect him to learn French or sign language for an episodic show with a two week turnaround. But he didn't even attempt a British accent for Sherlock Holmes. He used a generic midatlantic accent. Which is even more ironic since Data is supposed to be able to mimic every accent and dialect in the galaxy.
Stargate SG1 is over for the day. What can I watch until 8 o'clock?
>>213412367Pretty shit lineup honestly

>>213412396The Kahless episode was pretty good.
>>213410921yeah this was the star treks sweetspot in terms of its general audience popularity after tng
where actors and artists were very eager to create and contribute something under star trek since it meant a lot to them personally and the ip had weight. unfortunately actor cameos were very popular too in this period and there were a few but distracting cameos that i remember
the worst ever was voyager had Dwayne Johnson in it as some space wrestler or something
