I see that title and feel nothing. I vaguely know who the Mandalorian is, but what’s a Grogu and why should I care? My first instinct is that I will be expected to watch multiple seasons of a Disney+ show as “homework” in order to appreciate the significance of “Grogu.” I just won’t watch, that’s all.

at first you think, duh, they are talking about the dude. his name is literally "Mandalorian" obviously.

but Mandalorian is also the title of his people. it's a thing to strive for, like The Jedi. so maybe... eventually.... the title is about Baby Yoda becoming a Mandalorian! Whoa! cool! We all assumed, as a Yoda, that he would become a Jedi, not a Mandalorian. but it was right there in the title! neat.

or the last season, which was about uniting the planet, resurrecting the culture, The Mandalorian could have been referring to "the people" coming together. again.... neat.

but the movie title? nope. none of that clever stuff. it was the dude's name. DUH. what did you think we were clever with a cool name? no, it was the guy.
