Well, you see, the question of whether men are more attracted to—how shall I put this delicately—the posterior curvature or the, let’s say, anterior protuberances, is not merely one of base instinct, though of course instinct is not to be dismissed, no, never. It’s biological, yes, obviously—evolutionary—but also archetypal, symbolic. Deeply Jungian, in a sense. And, dare I say... mythological.
Now, breasts, for example, are quite plainly signifiers of nurturance—of the archetypal Mother. That’s ancient. We’re talking pre-agricultural here. And so the attraction to breasts is, in part, the attraction to order—to nourishment, to the sustaining principle that tames chaos. That’s what mothers do, you see—they tame the chaos of infancy. They transform screaming blobs into functioning, socialized beings, assuming all goes well and there's no overreach from the state, but that’s another discussion.
