that's the magic in all of the child's play films. it's not the people getting killed that's the showstopper, it's chucky's pseudo human body getting horrifically mangled. it's genius.
same thing with the hammer dracula films, they're good but the best part is always watching dracula die/get resurrected.

Picrel. Also Hellfest. Both movies kind of straddle the line between carnival and haunted attraction. The former has a really memorable kill in it

Not necessarily recommended but in the ballpark:
Freakshow (2007) is a remake Of Freaks. It's from the Asylum but not quite as bad as you'd expect. The bar's pretty low though, but those midget's gotta drink too.
Sideshow (2000) is a little different. Full Moon pictures and Fred Olen Ray, together at last.

Because it's not a Jason that actually exists in any corporeal form and I doubt he'll look like this when 500 years from now they make another movie. The mask looks weird on his head because it's a crappy drawing. It's homunculus fortnite jasum, a hodgepodge of other designs to produce a recognisable yet indistinct version of the character.

Also the fact that they couldn't even whip up some new art for this campaign is so goddamn lazy. They could genuinely milk that forever, just get some TV troper with a comedy background
You could even do crossover episodes where the killer demands visiting actors operate in character, or side villains that just happen to imitate a trope
If you wanted to be deeply edgy you could open it on a talking head psychiatrist telling everyone the shooter always tries to make the timing of the shooting make the news and talking about the shooting on the news makes mass shootings contagion effects take hold, because people imitate what they see on TV, and then just have ghostface stab him. That way you have ghostface and other people can be killers or have died with secrets before this ghostface appears. It's already canonically a batshit town that has a disproportionate predisposition to think the killer on the loose is a joke, so you could get really wild with decoy kills that are unrelated to ghostface, and do more of the 100 kids will show up in the costume decoys too, along with having people stage their not media savvy murder as a ghostface kill and being found out

Yes, the mallet is in the book. It's actually a roque mallet and not a croquet mallet so while it does have a somewhat silly visual connotation it could be used to murder someone. It was the right decision to change it for a movie though, as King writing is very regional and while you can put down a book to look something up you can't stop the movie in the theatre. Funnily enough it's the opposite case for Misery, where in the film she uses the hammer to break his foot, but hacks his foot off with an axe in the book.

>>213444316
I mean if Kubrick directed the miniseries script and Mick Garris directed Kubrick's script the Kubrick one would still be lightyears better. And I see Carrie as a director's cut of the book essentially because he had to add all the epistolary stuff to pad the story out to get it sold as a novel. But all the meat is there, which is why King loves the Carrie movie so much unlike Kubrick's movie.

That was pretty fun, someone tell me the other one
the highly specific death you need for it to work seems a bit off though. yes it's good lead up to have the creepy kid in the empty pool shots, so it's not a complete ass pull it has to be in the pool, and yes, maybe the mom only wants a girl to replace Cathy so taking the brother in back to drown him wouldn't fulfill the need for a dress up doll she has, but the highly specific death thing doesn't seem to extend to the mom cracking the kid one so she's bleeding and unconscious when she drowns so is it just location specific?
Likewise did original cathy get killed by original oli and if so, where's oli? Or is it just he's oli because nobody would be surprised if she had an oli staying there

I assumed she'd made those rules up herself. It didn't work right the first time so she's trying to get more specific, hoping that's the key. Could be the specificity was laid out in the videos, and I've just forgotten.

It made no sense for Pamela to kill her as well. I wonder how much of the film was made up as it went along because it's clearly a man (Savini) that kills her and she spends the entire scene talking about how she LOVES children and it's her dream to work with children, so it made no sense for the neglectful teen killer to want to kill her. Justice for best girl, who a script revision would have saved.

I assume it was in the video but it's not in the subtitled description of the process because it's just like eat the old body and straight to regurgitate into the new one but they at different point do seemingly hang the new body, so I assume they were bringing back someone who was hung or a suicide Maybe the guys in the video were more prepared like with the cookery shows that tell you they prepared this part yesterday, but yeah maybe it was just they died near that specific tree and method means nothing

A lack of good girls like Annie was the exact reason that Jason died. She'd never have fucked and sucked like those others. Wait, are you meaning to tell me that this deranged, bloodthirsty serial killer who speaks in the voice of her dead son is not serious about rehabilitating the reputation of Camp Crystal Lake and fostering good standards of child safety among counselors so that no child ever gets killed again???

That garbage is only alive because of the sheer incompetence of everyone else in the genre. It's not even a good game but the devs keep effortfagging so it survives. Friday the 13th was a thousand times better as a game but the devs neglected it and fostered a horrible relationship with the playerbase. Same case with Evil Dead, great game that the devs let die. I swear, the instant a non retarded company makes a game that they don't immediately strangle, the DBD playerbase will die overnight.

Boreanaz by the spin off series looks way older, and he was on the upper end of twink when Buffy started. It's a real problem because you need the pretty boy look for the eternal youth thing, but you have like maybe five years before they look like this dude is a man, nobody is believing he graduated two years ago
To be fair to Buffy, they did eventually send him to a hell dimension but most of the aging was done before his 1000s of years there, so it does kind of give the impression just being near a slayer was sucking the life out of him in a way literal hell did not

I'm not saying he doesn't look good, but by Angel or Bones if he tried to pass himself off as first time college student age to tutor my daughter, I would think that's a different kind of vampire, but when Buffy started that was at least plausible
